Salta Properties has officially completed a purpose designed and built industrial warehouse for Martin Brower ANZ, a leading supply chain solutions provider for restaurants around Australia, at its burgeoning Nexus Dandenong South Industrial Estate.
Martin Brower will occupy 9,500 sqm of custom warehousing and 690 sqm of office space on a 15-year lease term.
The project is on to track to becoming Salta’s first 5-Star Green Star certified industrial development, targeting a 5 Star Green Star Buildings certified rating. Sustainability features include a 625 kilowatt solar array, a ‘cool’ office roof that reflects more than 75% of the sun’s heat, a 50,000 litre rainwater tank, low VOC paints, adhesives and sealants, end-of-trip facilities, electric vehicle charging stations and a thermally efficient building design.
To ensure the warehouse met the exact requirements of Martin Brower, Salta Properties partnered with tenant representatives TMX and construction and delivery partner FDC.
Salta Properties Managing Director Sam Tarascio said this facility sets a new standard in sustainable logistics warehousing.
We worked collaboratively with Martin Brower to craft a warehousing solution that responds perfectly to the needs of their business, people and customers with bespoke industrial requirements including chillers, freezers, loading docks and onsite offices for their administration.
Sam Tarascio, Managing Director
“Salta Properties is dedicated to delivering direct and real benefits to our clients. We are proud to have delivered what has been designed and constructed to be the first 5-Star Green Star Certified facility at Nexus Dandenong South, setting a new sustainability benchmark for our industrial projects.
“Sustainability is one of our core values at Salta Properties, and we’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint through good building design and ensuring optimised efficiency practices into operation,” said Mr Tarascio.
Located at 66 Portlink Drive, Dandenong South, the facility provides direct access to Melbourne’s critical transport networks, making it ideally located for Martin Brower’s operations.
Martin Brower’s Managing Director for ANZ Scott Hanigan said, “We are proud and excited to be expanding our footprint with the new facilities at Nexus Dandenong South. Salta really engaged with us from the start and have been a great partner to work with throughout all the stages of this development”.
“Our purpose at Martin Brower is to create smart, sustainable supply chains and this new warehouse and office space will play a critical role in delivering on that commitment.”
Martin Brower joins the list of well-known tenants at Nexus Dandenong South including Woolworths, Bunnings, Mondiale VGL, and Haulotte Australia.
Other warehouse leasing opportunities are available within the estate.
